Drink tea, wear pyjamas and retire at 10pm: The secrets to getting a good night's sleep

We all know what it is to have a bad night and to start the day feeling tired and cranky.

But a new study has revealed the key to sweet dreams - going to bed at 10 pm after having a cup of tea in his pajamas.

The study of 2,000 people conducted by the company of bedding decorating and shows how most people enjoy at least two hours and seven minutes of "dead time" before hitting the hay.





The average person sees at least one hour and three quarters of television, especially soap or comedy shows, to relax.

It is also believed that people are normally in bed for about 20 minutes before finally falling asleep.

Tania Johnston, spokesman for the decorating, said: "One of the key elements is having a good couple of hours doing very little - like reading a book.

"The time people go to bed is important, with most people ensuring they get a healthy eight or nine hours of sleep each night. "

It takes an average of 41 minutes for people to come home from work and then for the rest of the night try to relax doing very little.

Those who have the best night of sleep is believed to the end of the dinner hour and 31 minutes before going to bed and have your last cup of tea around 21:10.

A third of participants felt more comfortable with rest in pajamas before bed, while 27 percent had only his underwear, according to the survey.

Meanwhile, 6:47 a.m. is the most feared sleepers were awakened from their sleep.
