Britain's biggest burger! It's 18,000 calories (more than the WEEKLY recommended calorie intake for a man), has 7lbs of beef and nine rashers of bacon

In a week when scientists warned that eating even a small amount of red meat regularly will increase your risk of dying from heart disease, 'The Beast' is sure to get in a lather nutritionists.

The giant burger tips the scales at 15 pounds and contains 18.000 calories, more than the recommended amount per week for a man.

Dubbed the biggest burger in Britain, is a challenge for even the hungriest customer, packing seven pounds of meat, nine strips of bacon and nine slices of cheese on a roll 12 inches

He has now appealed to adventurous diners to try to beat the beast in just one hour.

The meat is so heavy Mr Herodotou had to order a bakery to do especially that of baptism 30 cm in diameter, with flour to keep it thick.

Those who are willing to take the challenge are asked to give the restaurant 24 hours in advance, as the chefs take time to develop the culinary giant.

Mr. Herodotou and his wife Mary, of Sanderstead, have organized a series of hamburger restaurants before opening the black at the beginning of the year.

He said: 'I have been Italian, Greek, Continental, but I wanted a new challenge.




"There are a premium burger few places out there, but I'm sure we can bring something new and we hope to branch into the future."

The Beast is not the first extra-large plate to hit the tables this year.
